Install in two minutes
Power VPN is shared privately, so it is not in the Chrome Web Store. You add it to Chrome yourself. It only takes these five steps.

Download the zip
Click Download for Chrome above. The file is called
power-vpn-extension-latest.zip. Updating? Remove the old Power VPN inchrome://extensionsfirst, or both will run at once. -
Unzip it
Double-click the file. You get a folder. Move it somewhere it can stay, like Documents. Chrome reads it from there, so do not delete it.

Open Chrome's extensions page
Paste this into the address bar and press Enter:

Turn on Developer mode, then Load unpacked
Switch on Developer mode in the top right corner. Click Load unpacked and choose the folder from step 2.

Pin it and log in
Click the puzzle icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin Power VPN. Open it, log in with the email and password from your admin, and press Connect.
No account yet? Power VPN is invite only. Ask your admin to create one for you. They will send you an email and password.
Questions
Why does Chrome show a "Developer mode" warning?
Chrome shows it for every extension that does not come from the Web Store. It is normal for privately shared tools. You can dismiss it.
Does it change my whole computer's internet?
No. Only Chrome goes through the US server while you are connected. Other apps like WhatsApp and Zoom keep using your normal connection.
A site shows "Just a moment" or a captcha. What do I do?
Wait a few seconds and tick the box if one appears, or install Power Captcha to have it ticked for you on TruePeopleSearch. If it keeps looping, pick a different server in the popup and reload the page.
Does it work with NordVPN or other VPN extensions?
Only one extension can control Chrome's connection at a time. Turn the other one off before you press Connect.
How do I update to a new version?
Download the new zip from this page, replace the old folder with the new one, then click the reload arrow on Power VPN in chrome://extensions. You stay logged in.
I forgot my password.
Ask your admin. They can set a new one for you in a few seconds.
